  • Shark’s Teeth

    Shark’s Teeth

We had so much fun hunting for Sharks teeth 🦈

    📍Caspersen Beach, Venice Florida

The first thing you notice about Caspersen Beach is the water, it looks extra blue, and the sand is speckled black. That’s because the sand is actually made up of the fossils and minerals of crushed up shark’s teeth! After a quick google search 😅 Millions of years ago when Florida was under water the beaches area filled with sharks, now all that’s left are their fossilized teeth.

It didn’t take us long to find our first tooth, within the first 10 minutes 🤗 This was our first time going and we will for sure be back! The other cool thing to mention about this beach is the airport is right next door so you get an incredible view of small planes taking off and landing the whole time!

Have you ever found a shark’s tooth? Where do you like to go? 😎

  • Valentines Day Gifts

Do you exchange gifts for Valentine’s Day? This year I decided to do sneakers. We’ve been snacking on valentines candy for a month now and the kids really do not need anymore fidget items or cute stuffed animals.

I love the look of the Reebok classics and they have matching shoes in all our sizes! I didn’t realize over the past few years Reebok stepped it’s game up and has a ton of cute sneakers.

I always love to DIY on the weekends! Today I made this super easy scrap skirt that doesn’t require a sewing machine. Even if your not crafty, this is an easy one!

I got all my supplies at Joann Fabric

First measure the waist to see where to trim the elastic

I put a quick stitch to hold the ends together

Next cut all the fabric into 1” strips the tulle I just cut the same length as the fabric strips
Tie the first strip over the spot where the ends meet
Add more colors and create your pattern
Continue the pattern until you fill the skirt
    Ready for the pumpkin patch

  • Halloween Sweatshirt

    Halloween Sweatshirt

I’m obsessed with the Hanes comfort color sweatshirts! (Linked here) I get them in a size Medium and it gives a nice over sized look.

This morning while cleaning I got bleach on my newest color! So I decided to fix it with more bleach and Orange dye to make a Halloween Sweatshirt. Supplies I used were Rit Dye in Sunshine Orange, Bleach, and rubber bands that’s it! The whole process took me about an hour, and then another 40 minutes to wash and dry. I love how it turned out, and I’m calling it a happy accident!

I made little clumps that I twisted and banded where I wanted the bleach to go. Elastic those together into a big square sort of.

Normally I would use the cling gel bleach but I wanted it all to blend and since I spilled this one on me I decided to stick with it. Make sure to cut it 1/2 water 1/2 bleach. I started to see an immediate reaction and within 15 minutes it was done!

After adding the dye I let it sit for 30 minutes and this is how it looked. I love the vibrant color, but of course it fades a little when you rinse. Rinse until the water runs clear then un band. I popped it into the washer for a quick wash no soap then into the dryer. This is the results!! Of course I can still see the original bleach spot haha but it’s a little camouflage now. Let me know if you try this!!

  • I’m officially out of the minivan club!

Officially out of the minivan club and I’m so excited! James surprised me for my birthday with an suv!! I have been dropping not so subtle hints for the past year that I wanted one 🤭🤣

I begged to get that minivan when Harper was born. With 3 kids in car seats we definitely needed room, and the automatic doors made life so easy with a new born 🙌🏻 Now they are all out of car seats and no more strollers, so it was time! 😁

Of course I never did anything with the van, but I can’t wait to start making her mine and add some customizations.

Do you like to customize or modify your vehicles? 🚗
