Beach Hut Playhouse Makeover

After 2 years the play house was in need of a makeover. The kids don’t really use it anymore, and it mostly stores our pool floats along with frogs and lizards.
We decided on a beach hut theme. Runners up were farmhouse, rainbow house, or repainting it the current theme which matches our house colors.

The Blue color is Dynamic Blue
The White Color is Extra White

The Citrus Attraction at Boyett’s Grove

It all started because Liam wanted to go mini golfing. I hoped on Groupon and found not only Mini golf, but a Petting Zoo, Ice Cream, Antique Shoppe, and Citrus Store, and Dinosaur cave all in one! The price was good too, the Groupon is $49.95 for 6 people for all the stuff, Perfect price, done!
The reviews were interesting, something like “I’ve never seen anything like it!” Or “Your eyes won’t know where to look first” They we’re all very intriguing and positive!

The art work is nothing we’ve ever seen before, with 3D glasses the paint pops off the wall.

There is an entire section of taxidermy animals that the boys found fascinating. The nice part was we had the place to ourselves, and we didn’t really have anyone hovering saying don’t touch that or anything. You are free to roam as you please.

The kids fell in love with a few of the animals, this camel is a sweet heart and followed us all over eating almost an entire loaf of bread.

They also have this cool dinosaur cave exhibit that we all enjoyed It was fun to see such a variety of animals and all the cages and habitats looked clean and well cared for! Off the top of my head I remember zebras, monkey, goats, alligator, guinea pigs, mini horse, donkey, llamas, alpacas, tortoise, and big birds like emu.

I didn’t get a shot of the mini golf, but it’s inside and covered which is great from the heat and sun, but the building where it is ended up being too dusty for my allergies and really bothered me. The kids loved the course, it was challenging but still fun!

From their page: Each of our Citrus Gifts and Grove fresh fruit Baskets is carefully picked and packed with the finest fresh Florida oranges, tangerines, grapefruit and honeybell fruit and shipped in our handsome and sturdy gift cartons! We will deliver fresh fruit baskets and special Florida treats to your friends and family
If you have time do some research about this place, it has a wild history and could easily be a movie!

Pool Noodle Rainbow

Here is everything you need to get started!
I used the regular sized pool noodles, some hot glue, and yarn colors of your choice! The Drill saves so much time! I found a foam ball from the kids toys and it fit right in the hole, then wedge the largest drill bit I could find in between. I felt like McGyver, but it’s a hack you can appreciate!! The previous rainbow we made, I hand wound and it took days!! I still can’t believe I did that.
To give it some stiffness I added the copper pipe because that’s what we had leftover in the garage, but any bendable pipe would work. I also wove wooden skewers behind the noodles to hold it together!!

For the cord at the bottom I unwound the rope, cut into 6 inch sections and then folded those in half and frayed the ends
To finish I glued the rope into the holes and then covered the bottom 2 inches of the rainbow with the undone rope to coverup the ends
Let me know what colors you would put together!

Daisy Wall in Harper’s room

Decided to give Harper’s wall an update! I drew this sloppy Daisy and printed out with my vinyl cutter. I use the silhouette cameo and ordered these two vinyls. White vinyl and Yellow vinyl It’s important to note, make sure you get removable sticky vinyl, you don’t want to take the paint off the walls!!
We love it so much and I have so much left over vinyl that I may add a 3 or 4 more, what do you think?
I wanted to share it with all of you so here is the file
Download the JPG file and trace it or click this link and download the SVG file.
If you end up making something I would love to see in the comments!!
