Weāve been trying all the DIY trends on Tik Tok. The kids have been having a lot of fun with it. Yesterday we tried Hydro dipping, which I will make a post about soon. Today I wanted to share Our matching bleach dye shorts!
I ordered all the supplies from Amazon and will provide links at the bottom. The shorts are Soffe brand, they are so comfortable. Since weāve been stuck home I ordered a bunch to just lounge around the house in!
Here are the orange shorts, you want to swirl them around to make a cinnamon bun and then elastic.
Learn from my mistakes!! The orange pair didnāt turn out as dramatic because I didnāt wet the shorts first, and also I didnāt do every OTHER elastic section with the bleach. I was thinking when I tie dye the dye never makes it all the way through the folds in the fabric, but that is not the case for bleach. I still think the orange look great, they came out more of a neon orange with a subtle dye effect.
When you make your bleach mixture be sure to use 1/2 bleach 1/2 water, otherwise the bleach could eventually eat through your fabric. I let the bleach sit on everything for 20 mins before fully rinsing and then washing in the washing machine.

I linked the Soffe shorts on Amazon, the rubber bands are left over from tie dye but any will do. Also the bleach is cleaning bleach, but Iāve seen it done with bleach gel also.
My poor kid has the hottest room in the house. Now that school is out his room seems to be even hotter with the tv on all day gaming. Miles had bunk beds, they looked cute but made him even hotter. The air doesnāt really flow to the bottom bunk and the top bunk was stuffy from being so close to the ceiling.
We found the new bed on Amazon, no way was I going out shopping in the stores. The bed and Green Tea infused memory foam mattress arrived 2 days later. We knew the mattress was great because Liam has the same one in his room. My favorite part about the mattress is that it has zero smell straight out of the packaging. Something to do with the green tea infusion Iām sure. In the past we have had bad luck with very smelly out gassing of the memory foam mattresses.
It may be hard to tell but the bed is black metal. Miles loves it because he can stick all his Disney magnets on!

We have a new YouTube video up! This week we are reviewing Water Balls. Itās no surprise we love all things water, we are in Florida and it is hot!! Water balloons have always been a nightmare for me, first you had to tie each one (omg š), then they came up with filling 50 at one time which is great!
The mess at the end is what gets me every time! The dogs will eat the balloon pieces and get sick so we have to make sure to get every piece. Play in the driveway / road isnāt any better, our hoa wouldnāt be too happy if we left water balloon pieces anywhere visible.
These balls leave no mess and you can play over and over. Check out our video to see Harper in action! š

Harperās outfit is actually a gymnastics leotard. She has been wearing this outfit since it arrived! the design has a slight glitter sheen to it, itās hard to see in the listing and I was surprised when it arrived. Harper couldnāt be happier!
